Manchester, UK 2017 (1 week immersive trip)

As a part of Agnes Scott’s signature Summit Program there are components of Global Learning and Leadership that all students have the opportunity to participate in. In the Spring of 2017 I took a semester long course named Global Journeys, and the theme of each course was different. The topic of my course was “The Benefits and Costs of Industrialization in the UK”. Throughout the course we learned about the history of the UK, as well as what made the UK so advanced. Then for a week all students went to the respective countries that they were studying. Hence, my class traveled to the UK for one week. Throughout this trip we visited various museums, factories, modern malls, water mills, Manchester United Stadium, and so much more!
