Women’s Bridge to Business

After my freshman year, I realized that I was really interested in Public Health and the healthcare system, however the clinical side of healthcare didn’t seem like the perfect fit for me. My adviser and Business Management professor suggested the B2B program to me, explaining that it would give me a good introduction to all of the fields within business. Sure enough I decided to apply to this summer course. I was awarded admission and a scholarship to participate in an intensive three-week B2B with the Georgia Tech Scheller School of Business.

The diverse curriculum included topics in finance, business ethics, marketing, business law, operations management, gender in business, international business, strategic management, business communications, and career development. This program allowed me to complete case studies, computer simulations, attend women in executive positions panels, and visit corporate offices. This was a comprehensive program that encouraged me to make connections of how business concepts can be applied in any field of study.
